Objectives
Assessing the reading proficiency of primary-one pupils using EGRA Tools
Strengthen teachers’ capacity in phonemic awareness, phonics, orthographic rules and
comprehension strategies.
Provide necessary teaching and learning materials to enhance literacy instruction.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the intervention to inform policy and scale-up
strategies.
